Fast Eddie Bailey has passed away, Stoughton, Wisconsin Music scene has lost a Legend
The Lake Koshkonong community and the wider southeast Wisconsin music scene have lost a beloved fixture with the passing of Fast Eddie Bailey. More than just a familiar face in the crowd, Eddie was a true legend, a man whose legacy is profoundly measured by the sheer joy he brought to others.

For countless nights at The American Legion Post 59 and at music festivals across the region, Eddie’s infectious smile, boundless energy, and genuine love for live music were transformative. He wasn’t merely attending the shows; he was part of the essential atmosphere. His presence amplified the fun, becoming woven into the very fabric of memories made by bands and fellow music lovers alike. As one of the area’s biggest supporters of live music, his enthusiasm was a gift to performers and audiences.
Eddie’s vibrant personality extended beyond his passion for tunes. A Madison icon, he was known for his impeccable, always-on-point fashion sense, adding a dash of flair to every event. His dedication was formally recognized last year when he was honored with a WAMI (Wisconsin Area Music Industry) Fan of the Year award, a testament to his unwavering support.
Fast Eddie Bailey will be profoundly missed by all his friends at The American Legion Post 59 and by the countless individuals whose nights he brightened. Our deepest thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends during this difficult time. The music will play on, but the dance floor will forever hold the memory of his unforgettable spirit.
